Historic 1803 pub with dog-friendly rooms and award-winning ales in central Padstow

Accommodations & Rooms

The London Inn offers 10 en-suite rooms, including a Family Suite with a separate bunk bed area for children. The Superior King Room features a king-size bed, flat-screen TV with DVD player, and a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. The Deluxe Double Room with Bath includes a claw-foot tub and views of the historic street.

Dining & Pub

The restaurant menu changes seasonally and focuses on locally sourced ingredients, including Cornish fish and seafood from Padstow's working harbour. The pub serves award-winning real ales in a setting with original wooden beams and an open fireplace. The roof terrace offers alfresco dining during warmer months, and a full English breakfast is available at an extra cost.

Location

The London Inn is located in the center of Padstow, a 2-minute walk from the working harbour and local shops. Brea Beach is a 10-minute walk away, and the Eden Project is a 40-minute drive from the hotel. The surfing capital Newquay is 30 minutes' drive along the coast.

Pet-Friendly Policies

Dogs are allowed in designated rooms and in the bar area, with pet bowls provided. The hotel charges no additional fees for pets, and dog treats are available for purchase at the bar. The resident entrance is shared with the bin area, so guests are advised to use a lemon disinfectant to deter dogs from urinating near the door.

Family-Friendly Features

The Family Suite includes bunk beds, and board games are available for children to borrow. The pub atmosphere is lively but quietens down by 10 PM, making it suitable for families with young children. The hotel is located near the parish church and the coast path, offering easy access to family-friendly walks.

Highlights

History: Originally a row of fishermen's cottages dating back to 1803

Rooms: Family Suite with bunk beds and Deluxe Double Room with bath

Dining: Seasonal menu with Cornish fish and seafood

Ales: Award-winning real ales on tap

Pet: Dog-friendly rooms and bar with pet bowls

Location: 2-minute walk from Padstow's working harbour

“There's a distinct, appealing buzz about this place, a long-standing inn right in the heart of town that clearly draws a lively local crowd. I imagine the combination of home-cooked meals, especially the Sunday roast, and real ales contributes to its popularity. Factor in the dog-friendly policy and family room options, and it strikes me as a solid base for exploring Padstow.”
